Super 8 by Wyndham Mattoon

They got me my room quick and simple. Breakfast could use an upgrade, maybe am actual waffle machine would be great.

The workers were so lovely. The rooms were clearly new, but there were some issues. Dirty fridge- like stuff left in there and also specks on the walls of the fridge No lotion No paper pad No laundry bag Definitely been smoked/vaped in. Knew it right away. Toilet not caulked to floor, so it wobbled. Someone cut the window screen open. I assume so they could stick their arm out and smoke. I’m still satisfied. I didn’t make it down for breakfast, so I can’t comment. No elevator?

So I have stayed there with my children numerous of times and so has family when In town. Patti the manager and the other staff were very friendly. The rooms have always been clean. I did see w comment about rooms smelling and that has never been an issue with myself and or family that have visited and stayed at that hotel. I have even had great encounters with some guest. Some of the reviews I have read seem almost like there is a confusion because the Super 8 has always been first pick for family and even friends. I will say that I did have wifi connection issues but that is not a big deal. I would like to be able to say that I know Patti very well at this point and the (making me go outside when a thunderstorm was happening) seems out of character. I will be returning to Super 8 in a couple days and will be happy to pictures and video's on here. Thank you have a blessed day.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and beds comfortable. It was quiet... places to eat close by. Breakfast you could fix in morning. It was a good stay

Comfortable, Convenient, and Great Value! I recently stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Mattoon, IL, and overall, it was a solid and comfortable stopover. The hotel earns high marks for its cleanliness, friendly service, and convenient location. Cleanliness & Comfort The rooms were recently renovated and were impressively clean and well-maintained—just what you'd hope for when traveling. The bed was comfy. Staff & Service The staff were welcoming and helpful. Amenities & Facilities The hotel offers a range of essential amenities that benefit both leisure and business travelers: Complimentary light breakfast, including coffee, juice, and simple items like cereal or yogurt. Free Wi-Fi, in-room coffee/tea, microwave, refrigerator, and flat-screen TVs (with extended cable and HBO). A business center, vending machines, and free parking—including for larger vehicles.

For quickstay it's clean and safe. Staff was friendly and helpful upon check-in and it's in the food district, not far from walmart and aldi ^_^!

I freaking love Patti. The Super 8 in Mattoon has a great Walmart across the street filled with Amish people, and the service is phenomenal. Some of the rooms even come with pets, like roaches, and the views were superb. Don't turn the air conditioner up too high though or you will smell burning. I highly recommend staying here, and make sure you get Patti's business card. If you ever go to room 225 be sure to say hi to big tim. DON'T SMELL.
